Ah, I suppose I can forgive you both
With regards to salt water, I use sea salt in my bath water all the time now, but it hasn't hurt my toe, or done anything positive either
The doctor was pressing on various points on my toe for signs of pain, and there were none, so he declared me free of infection...however, an hour or so later, it began to throb. I squeezed the same places the doctor had tested, and still no pain, but then I tried pressing it from a different angle, and it really hurt
I really wish I'd noticed this while I was there, as I could have had more antibiotics, but now have to make a fourth appointment...they'll be taking out a restraining order on me if this carries on
There's something else too. It turns out that I'm also suffering from something called Reynards (or however you spell it), as all my toes are red at the tips, but only the big toes were ever infected. And apparently my feet were both really cold, despite the fact that it's a lovely warm day today. Not something I wanted to hear, but apparently it's not serious unless it becomes painful, in which case I could just get some tablets. And it explains why the colour of my toe was changing between pink, red and a rather worrying purple. The only way to get rid of the redness now is by wearing warm socks, but unfortunately I can't do that until the infection is actually gone completely
