Boiling would kill most bacteria I think. THe only other option you really have is to autoclave your socks - this is a bit extreme I think We did it in biology class once though (not with socks).. It was fun
And as opposed to DT my mother would more than happily let me use the washing machine, or any other cleaning utilities.. Lol.
Oh, by the way.. Im happy to hear Im forgiven And also, be careful with boiling them if they are off material that might shrink But Im sure you know this too!
In fairness to me. She was brought up with the Italian woman’s mindset so she doesn’t expect me to do anything like that anyway. So long as I help fix things that are broken and do the heavy lifting in the garden she doesn’t mind…oh and I have to do the vacuuming nowadays, which is a bastard to be honest. Lol.

Well it is kind of shared…I just don’t do much under the house roof, I do more fixing and garden work. I don’t do anything in the kitchen that’s for sure. Lol.
My feet and toes did warm up a bit, and most of the redness has gone from my little toes now But the weight of all those socks pressed down, aggravating the infected areas of my big toes which throbbed painfully all night
Better gather all my socks together and boil them then As well as go back to town and make yet another appointment to see the doctor. I just want rid of this infection now, it's fucking everything up
Hmm, I think one of you said to put salt in my shoes, to dry them out so that bacteria can't thrive...would sea salt be okay for this, or does it have to be table salt? Or doesn't it matter?
Either would work. Sea salt might work better because the grains are normally bigger and they might be able to absorb more moisture but normal table salt would be able to cover more area…try a mixture of both and you’ll get the best of both.
Okay, cheers I have sea salt here, but will need to buy table salt. I actually sprayed one of the antibacterial sprays inside my New Rocks, but it went all foamy and dried that way, so both boots are now completely white on the inside
