That's the weird thing. The infection isn't actually causing me any constant pain. I only became aware that there was any pain when the doctor squeezed the top of my toe :(

Also, he told me I can only wear open toe footwear while it's healing, and around this time of night my feet often get quite cold :( And I've spent a bloody fortune on powders and sprays to use on all my socks and shoes :(

Strange that it doesnt hurt! How is that possible? :O Maybe the infection is in a "lucky" place..
That SUCKS.. And I guess heels of any kind are totally banned! I actually sleep with socks too sometimes.. I find that if my feet are cold you are just generally more cold.. For some reason. :S

Baking powder might do the same sort of job for your socks. Salt will absolutely do a better job in the bottom of your shoes when you’re not wearing them because it will your shoe out, bacteria needs dampness to survive. But the problem there will be the bacteria might come back to life again once you start wearing the shoe again…I’m not sure, I don’t think they will but they might.

Have you soaked your foot in salted water love? :D

They do, just not as well. Have you ever been to the pharmacist and been told that some drug isn’t available today BUT they have another drug that will do the same job? Chances are the pharmacist knew they would clash with another drug you were taking.

You don’t ask the butcher to cook you a meal and the chief to butcher a carcass. ;)

I rarely ever go to the pharmacy actually and mostly only for like basic stuff :) And I have never heard of them running out of ibuprofen, aspirin, strepsils or cough syrup
But good analogy, I get what you are saying :)

I’m not often ill, I’ve only seen my doctor once in the last 5 years, and I’ve never had to go to a pharmacist for myself but I have for my dad a few times and that’s how I found out about them telling people some drugs were out of stock even though they weren’t. It’s something I’ve suspected for a long time anyway.

Thank you. I had to think about that one. ;):D I'm glad somebody liked it. :D

Pain would have been iodine; salt water is just mild discomfort in comparison to iodine. ;) I have a really, really low pain threshold and even I can take salt water. Besides…what a little salt water compared to a spanking. :p lol.

Iodine.. They use that as a disinfectant too right? Hmm, maybe I mixed the two up..
Spankings are different (not that I have done it that much, but enough to know it's good).. Dont ask me why though.. It puzzles me actually.. Cause I can be such a baby about some pain (like the kind dentists inflict:(), while other pains I will actually like. Very strange. Okay, I guess liking any pain is kind of strange.. :S

Wow.. I dont go to many sceduled appointments either. But somehow I always have bad timing and end up having to go at night or on like holidays... Lol. Which is really stupid actually. Like last time I had a migraine it had been going on for like 3 days.. and I have this rule that anything beyond three days and I will drag my ass over there and beg for the good painkillers :D However, for some reason I decided to give in at 2 am.. (I really dont know why I dont just suck it up and go right away..)
Going at night really just means you have to sit in very LIGHT and NOISY waiting rooms for very long.. I dont know if you have ever had a migraine. But light, noise, smells, movement or any other kind of stimulation just intensifies the pain. And I was pretty worn out in the first place, so next time I should try to think ahead :p

Btw, sorry OLP.. We have totally derailed this.

My normal rule is unless it’s broken and pointing off the wrong way or I could die I’m not going to the doctors. Lol. I’ve been known to relocate dislocated fingertips right there and then so, as you can tell, I try to avoid the doctor at all costs. I really don’t like going to doctors and I have no idea why, I just don’t like to waste my time with them only to be told to “come back in a few days if it still isn’t rightâ€.

I don’t often get headaches let alone migraines. Lol.

Yes we have derailed this badly, sorry OLP...forgive us: :(
