Is it possible to take the applications in personally? Often you can make a better impression if they can see you in person. Just make sure you're dressed nice, an old high school friend of my husband turns his applications in wearing ratty old t-shirts. He can't figure out why he never gets a call back. Not that this applies to you, I'm just putting it out there. :)

That's worked a few times for me, I at least get confirmation they've recieved it. Even smartly dressed though, they usually tell me 'we'll get back to you if we're interested' and once more, that's the end to it. Annoying to no end.

No, not his paw, but the vein that runs inside each nail (Dear Mother Nature . . . wtf?). When clipped, it causes quite a bit of pain and profuse bleeding. I, being one of extreme emotions, was flipping a shit because I couldn't find my damn corn starch fast enough and my poor pup was gushing blood and crying in my arms . . . ugggh

Crisis averted anyhoo.

I've done this a few times, it hurts them. Sorry it happened, but I will give you a story.

My BIL is staying with us for a bit and has a big date. He goes to shave and really does a number on his face with a deep nick. Putting pressure on it isn't helping. Well, we have the dog quick stop bleed pen for the doggies paw in case we cut hit the vein.

My bride looks at me, I don't know, safe for the dog. Well, he uses it. It burns like a Mother F*****!!!! He is running around the house trying to make the pain go away, slamming stuff. My bride and I are trying not to laugh to much, I really had no idea.

Never bothered the dog :D

With the ones I'm applying for, you have to email the CV off, and to be honest, half the time I have no idea where the job's building is situated :( Then again, these are for mainly admin and call centre jobs, so I guess they want to assess your typing skills and so on.

My printer has broken, and I still haven't fixed it :( I'd like to have some CV printouts though, to take to shops and so on. A shop in town has a full time vacancy now, and with it being in town, not in Cardiff (our capital city), I'd be saving £50 a week in travel funds, as I could easily walk to town and back each day :)

I may well have a job.
Some people call it a dirty job, but I don't care, I've done it before, and now I'm getting a chance to do it again.
You know those huge cookers at take aways, restaurants and the like? I get to help the other two I'm working with clean them and the fans and system behind them of grease.
Just no one mention rivets - they're the curse of all people who do that job, leave your hands covered in nicks, and hurt like hell.

Anyway. You probably didn't want to know about the greasy stuff I'm gonna be cleaning out, but, I'm highly likely to get the job, since it's with the same guys I did it with before, and I did good work for them then, so as soon as I get the chance, I'm gonna see if they'll take me on again.
