Table salt is always useful to have in the house even if you don’t use it when cooking.

Damn.. Imagine that a toe can cause you this much trouble? It sucks, for sure! I really hope you get better soon. And dont worry about the restraining order

When I was like 10 my mom seriously thought my appendix was bursting/infected. Fever, abdominal pain, the whole set of symptoms were there. And ofc. they told her to come straight away.. We get up there, and bam, the pain disappears. We go home. The pain returns.. To this day the mystery has yet to be solved

Lol.

I wear wool socks for warmth (we have had a ridicoulous winter like pretty much the rest of Europe!). Problem is though, you cant boil those.

Yeah, I had that with another health problem last year

I had a nasty rash of some kind under my arms, but it would always disappear before I got to see the doctor

So, one day while waiting to go in, I noticed it wasn't showing up, so deliberately scratched my armpit until it was red raw, just to prove that it was real (the old doctor was still there then, a very unsympathetic, incompetent man who once refused to give me anything for bad hayfever because it was 'self inflicted'

)

Some doctors really annoy me too.. My old doctor, when I came to see her, she would blindly describe medicine after I said one of two words about what was wrong

. I dont think this is very responsible. She also forgot to enter stuff in files which can prove seriously dangerous for some patients.

I may have had a breakthrough. I dug one of my fingernails under my toenail where the infection is, and managed to get out what I think was some pus

Yes, I was fresh out of the bath when I did it so my hands were definitely clean

And yep, it hurt, a lot

It made me feel a bit sick too, but hey, the pus I got out is no longer in my toe, and that's what matters

I will try again tomorrow, but using my nail clippers this time, boiled in salted water first to disinfect them. Maybe I will be able to rid myself of it, and not need any more antibiotics...I'll just have to see what progress I can make between now and Tuesday, when I'm due to see the doctor again

Lol, or maybe not. But yes, it must hurt, but relieving the pus and such might be a good thing, and you it seems like you are very careful with keeping it clean and all so Im sure it will go away at some point!
