There's this thing I saw in Ireland while I was staying there that (I believe is electric) that ran the water through a little box, and it made a god-awful lot of noise, but it heated it right up, and when I asked my host family about it, they said it's much more cost-effective to heat the tiny portions of water at a time than a whole tank of it . . . Maybe look into something like that, yeah?

I can't get a boiler, even though it would be cheaper. I live in a council flat, and the council are not prepared to fork out for this, so I would have to find the £1000 for this myself

Today has been bad too. I missed my train, because they listed my train as going from the wrong platform. After a load of stress, I managed to get an alternative train without having to pay any more money...but then I arrived to learn that my mother is in hospital, having been suffering hallucinations for a fortnight as a result of a medication problem
