I was in town with my ex, taking a short cut through an alleyway, and he spotted a wallet lying scattered on the ground. He picked it up and found it full of credit cards, as well as about ten pence in coppers. He needed to rush off somewhere, so asked if I'd take it to the police station, so I did. I felt a bit embarrassed though, for some weird reason, when the desk sergeant was asking for my details

I don't know, really. I guess I just don't want to be viewed as some kind of 'hero' or anything. The owner's details were in the wallet, so it can be returned to them easily enough

But the officer wanted my name and address, and I'm curious as to why

Another ex once found a wallet in a pub that had £14 cash inside, but he took the money out, used it to get himself drunk, and put the then empty wallet back where he'd found it

me did thet as well XD found 193 $ in the wallet and credits puted credits back and thrown it away and the money i spent with pleasure

There was only a few pence in the wallet I found. But if it had been full of money, I couldn't have taken it out and helped myself to it. I would have felt way too guilty

You never know OLP they might tell the person who's wallet it is who handed it in and they might send you a big reward so that you can keep warm

Given where I found it, it probably belongs to an aggressive chav!

And while I could do with all the money I can get hold of right now, but I'd feel really embarrassed if I was given some kind of reward
