Haha, it doesn't matter what I wear because the interview is being done over the phone!

It's been set for tomorrow afternoon. I am absolutely terrified now

It's been 6 years since I last worked, so I can't remember anything from back then that I can use to answer any questions successfully

I have researched the company, noted the type of questions that are likely to be asked...but I just can't remember anything from when I was last working, to talk about

Why can't I remember?

you don't need to remember those are really simple questions which will determine they need you or not and my advice don't apply to work which you can't do

OLP, actually, being dressed nicely will improve your self-confidence on the phone. Honest to god.

If you're worried about forgetting stuff during the interview, make some notes for yourself to look at when those questions come up. Don't actually write out answers, because those will sound canned. But make bullet points or things you want to remember to mention. Having something to look at if you get nervous will help you stay calm. You can do it!

And what I put in the above post let me down. Badly. I didn't get the job for this reason alone, despite the fact that the guy interviewing me said I was an excellent candidate. If I'd been able to remember stuff, I'd have made it to the next stage of the application. But how am I supposed to remember specifics from 6 years ago?

I'm sorry, OLP. Isn't there any sort of record you can refer to, like tax records or your family?

What they were looking for, was examples of when I have provided good customer service. I'm not sure stuff like that goes on records. It's stuff that I personally need to remember, in order to describe it. Plus I have no idea if they would keep records after so long
