Advice on strangulation

As a person who was born with chronic asthma, I can somewhat identify.
I really enjoy the feeling of his hands grasping my throat.
It's pretty dangerous to put too much pressure on the throat during sex (only 5 lbs of pressure can crush the windpipe), and even though it really gets me off, we try not to indulge. Specifically because of an incident this past December, when we were having sex and I had a serious asthma attack and had to rush to the ER for a breathing treatment. We weren't even having rough sex, it was just plain-jane-vanilla-sex, and BAM! Asthma attack.
So, be careful...

This thread makes me grateful not to have asthma, although I'm more in the neck-play and being restrained camp than breath play, as is my master. If I can't breathe, he stops, even if it's not to the point of much discomfort, just because we're cautious

SEB: thank u for that info on how u control the sub and restrict the breathing,i can really use that,my sub/bf likes breathplay and im not really happy about it bcs i understand that it is real risky,and this is a thing that i can use,as u say it gives a real feeling of being controlled and choked,and ur still able to breathe.I will defently try that out next time
