Cute puppy!!! We have two labs (one black, one yellow), and as much trouble as they can be sometimes, we can't help but spoil them. They're just so darn loveable! :)

Our yellow lab is huge, he lives up to his name 'Bear'. He can rest his chin on our dining room table. Our 4 year old thinks he's a jungle gym, lol!

Oh gosh, don't I know it. If I lay down on the floor (which I do quite often for some reason . . . ) and he's not off playing with something/someone else, he'll trot right up and snuggle right down next to me. If he's sleeping, I'll go over and lay down next to him, but he's not happy unless he's ON me so he rolls onto his back and does this adorable little scooching thing where he wiggles his body back and forth until his whole self is pressed up against me =D

And I'm always the last one awake at night so I take him for his last "out" of the night, and by that time, with all the playing and romping he's been through all day, he's so tuckered out I have to literally carry him outside and place him on the grass so he'll do his business *giggles*

So we've figured he's not a full lab, but actually a lab mixed with some kind of herding dog . . . which would explain why he's always about our feet and nipping at our heels and he likes to round up the neighbour kids and other dogs he's playing with!! My mom's only comment was "oh good, that means he won't get so big!" I LOOVE big dogs but my mom wants him to stay at his current 17 lbs lol

@OLP- RATS??? like those nasty sewer dwellers??

Aww, no offence taken :) But I think I read somewhere once that domestic rats are among the cleanest animals to have as pets, with excellent personal hygiene. And I just find it so cute, the way they will come to you if you encourage them to, and will take an offered piece of food straight from out of your fingers and start nibbling on it :)

I won't try and persuade you to give them a try though, if your mind is made up, because someone could easily try and persuade me to give a pet tarantula a go *shudders* :(

Yay Ceilidh, welcome back :)
