I love metal, mainly black, death, goth, thrash and starting to get into the 80s stuff too

Haha, I was in the capital this afternoon and there was a woman busker singing country and western; I went into HMV and was instantly soothed by the heavy metal blasting from the speakers

Then when I left a little while later, the c&w woman had gone quiet, and there was an ambulance next to where she had been performing!

But it turned out that it wasn't her who needed the ambulance, and weirdly enough, a while later, she finished singing one song and turned round to have a drink from a bottle, and while doing so, was flashing devil horns high in the air!

Is it true that Pete Steele from Type O Negative is dead?

I love this guy, and my ex (who hates Pete Steele) just phoned to tell me the guy is dead, and I know from experience that he exaggerates things a lot...I tried looking online, but the links I clicked wouldn't work for some reason

Yup - Pete Steele is indeed dead - heart failure at 48.... RIP....

As to music, I was born into classical music - my grandfather was a conductor. I developed my own eclectic musical tastes at an early age - buying Deep Purple Machine Head in the 1st grade because I thought the album cover was neat. I was off from there. My 2nd grade teacher called my mother because I repeatedly brought in Led Zeppelin, The Clash, The Doors, Myles Davis and more in for music day....

Since then my taste in music has expanded to include: Punk, classic rock, jazz, big band, blues, electronic, (love Schpongle), jam, bluegrass, rage, rap, metal - I listen to it all really. Not a huge fan of new country, but do listen to the classics....My daughter thinks I'm cool, so that's all that matters...

Shoes, you are cool. I forget half of the time how old you really are. You are so young at heart. It is awesome
