I am allergic to gold. I've handled solid bars, and coins, and had a ring, all of which made me break out in a horrible horrible rash. I guess I'm just unlucky.

Hmm...a mate of mine was allergic to silver, and she tried brushing a coating of clear nail polish over the silver, and didn't have any bad reactions after that...

I think you should just do it, and if you dont like it you could always remove them. They look fun to play with . I'm pretty ambivalent towards most piercings now, because, well, everything I got after the age of 17 has gotten infected for me. Of course, I would love a tongue piercing

I agree, I love (certain) piercings. Besides, you always have the option of removing it if you decide that you don't like it after. That being said, there are some piercings that I would never get at all.
