Last week, everyone in the mission home gathered for a mission home fireside. The men were sharing memories of growing up in the church. Elder Harward brought up his first infancy experience with erotic images. Apparently he wasn’t alone in having his first wet dream after spending a day looking at the men in the illustrated images from the Book of Mormon.
“One day I was looking at the images, and it was like someone turned on a lightswitch. After that I used to ‘study’ the men on my own, privately after school. Oh, how I loved Arnold Friberg!”
Arnold Friberg was the Mormon artist who illustrated the Book of Mormon, and painted all his Mormon heroes as hugely muscular men, pumped full of testosterone. His hunks were usually in loose-fitting robes, revealing a lot of skin.
Harward loved Friberg’s sexy illustrations of Lehi’s family.
“Especially when they were fleeing the old world and heading to the new world. Young Nephi and his tight-bodied , Laman, Lemual, and Sam. All with rippling biceps and six-pac abs. Yowza.”
“Can you imagine Nephi and his boy’s bathing naked in the river together?”
Elder Harward obviously could.
“And can you picture Nephi sharing a tent with his younger boy Sam, later that night? I loved fantasizing about their time in the wilderness together.”
After that night, we all understood why Elder Harward seemed to have a favorite room for his personal study, what with the huge portrait of the hunky (and mostly nude) Capt. Moroni hanging on the wall.
