An empty hall waits Chairs are aligned Faces sit without eyes A man prepares a wedding one was invited to attend From a box a bride is assembled piece by piece switched on and off by a voice that knows the right words Vows echo into stillness Desire unfolds under plastic smiles and frozen witnesses When the ritual is complete the room returns to silence as if thing happened except something did and it cannot be undone.
