No. In Alabama, it is considered illegal to even PRETEND to kidnap someone. It's like being caught with a water pistol while committing a robbery. No one would get shot but they treat it with the same ferocity. I guess it's because, the kidnapping just might be real and it's not their job to tell the difference.
