Colbert knows how to spoof himself, interweaving reality and fiction as he creates his brilliant porn version of Living in Oblivion. This is Colbert's second slap at early '90s megastar Ryan Idol for standing him up two years ago during the shooting of Matinee Idol.
Andrews plays a newcummer to porn who's all excited about doing a scene with the hottest star around, Johnny Hormone, played with a sexy, arrogant attitude by Thompson. But you know it's only going to end in frustration. Hormone's agent double-books him, so Andrews is stuck with only stories and reminiscences from other porn stars. It does end on an up note, however.
