I'm new to the forum too and newish to BDSM. Just been reading your post it made me think of a book I'm reading at the moment. Have you ever read Niki Flynn's 'Dances With Werewolves', she enjoys being spanked but doesn't believe that she is a sub, it's interesting how people choose to see themselves. As for example, I am a sub and I also enjoy being spanked, but I also enjoy being tied up and whipped. I love to be humiliated by my dominant partner and made to do degrading thing, like being forced to crawl on my hands and knees in chains when he orders me to. That's what I think makes me a sub.
