Wait, aren't you Brits supposed to be metric?

I have a dislike about all things that come from Europe. ;) :D We’re meant to use metric for everything apart from mileage but I don’t understand metric most of the time. Lol. Apart from Millimetres and Litres, other than that the metric system is lost on me. :p :D

The nearest gym to me is at the secondary school in town and, they’re about £30 ($40) a month I think, and they use collage students as well.

I have been doing horrible with my diet, as usual :( I've gained a few pounds. I can blame the soft foods and pain pill making me hungry all the time, but its more than that. Mistress and I had a talk. I am now to exercise a little every day. She knows I haven't worked out in awhile so we are starting small. I hope this works. I'm tired of being overweight and not having the self control to stick with a plan.

Handcuff--shoot for 30-40 minutes of cardio (activity that gets your heart rate up and you makes you sweat at least a little) 3x a week. Experts are divided about whether it just needs to be an average of 90 minutes a week or a full 30-40 at a time. But long walks, bike rides and swimming are good ways to start if you're out of practice.

Handcuff--here's a trick that I found useful. Find a picture of an actor, model, or porn star who looks like you in terms of general body type (broad shoulders, narrow waist, for example) and whom you consider good looking. Find a nude or at least shirtless/beefcake pic of him. Keep that picture somewhere you can find it and look at it for a minute every day. Imagine yourself having his body, attracting his fans, and so on. The idea is to train yourself to realize that this guy wasn't born with that body--he got it through exercise and diet, and if you put in that same work, you can get that same body.

People tend to fail at weight loss because they don't honestly picture themselves achieving the body they want. You need to move from "hopefully I won't fail again", which is just wishful thinking, to "I am making the effort to get that body". My 'role model' is the gay porn star Arpad Miklos. He's fairly good-looking I think, and he has a body that I might, if I really worked at it, eventually get. So I tell myself that in the future, I already have his body. I just need to do the work that gets me to that body. Not doing the work means that I will lose something that is within my grasp. Now there's a good chance I'll never look as hot as he does, but it gives me a concrete goal and moves me from fantasizing about weight loss to being someone who is losing weight.
