Despite the pouring rain and the late hour, Kaïs manages to deliver the package on time. Surprised by the intercom, Andolini sees the interesting figure of the delivery man. Andolini takes advantage of the delivery man's sympathy to ask him to take his package upstairs, pretending to get out of the shower. The idea of being delivered and relieved at the same time seduced Andolini then when Kaïs appeared on the landing Andolini will arrange to make him return to the shelter of the indiscrete glances.
