Yep exactly pyroaquatic. I had a Dom tell me once that the use of alcohol is cheating. Not only is not safe but it means that you are not trusting the D/s relationship. If you need to escape a little to get into a scene that’s what ‘subspace’ is for!

I think the use of alcohol should not be placed above a persons safety. If a couple drinks loosens you up as a sub and makes a scene better for you it might be ok. I would however strongly advise against a dom using something that alters reaction and ability. A dom should remain lucid and in control. Anyone who has participated in bdsm knows this.

Judgement and hesitation are what make you a pro. Difference between a novice and a pro is that pro is using a tool, not wielding a weapon.

As said before by most people: alcohol affects your judgement.

Alcohol should never, ever, ever, be consumed by the dom (ever).
A trick I learned to pretend I was drinking is to press it too my lips, tilt my head back and then swallow some of my spit (to get your jugular to move). I would rather not have my judgement impaired when it comes to the well being of someone you are supposed to be "caring" for.
