hair caught in collar buckle

Hi,
First two things...

I'm really new to this, but totally psyched to be exploring my new domensions. I think I've found my sexual destiny with a very patient and willing female sub.

Second, I'm having a leather collar made for her. She has very long, fine hair that will get caught in a buckle. How do folks usually prevent this?

I don't want to cause her any unnecessary pain.

Maybe have her wear her hair in an up do, so that it is out of the way of the buckle?

Be gentle with putting it on, it might get caught. Putting a collar on, to me at least, is a very special moment. One that should be done with the utmost care.
