You, of course, did not read Boccaccio's famous book "Decameron." To fill this gap in your knowledge, Luca Damiano shot for you this film in an interpretation closer to the modern viewer.
So, the action takes place in the XIV century, during the plague epidemic in Europe. One merry company came together, and in order not to think about what was going on in the streets, young people found a way to distract themselves: they started telling each other stories about their sexual exploits.
