I am usually required to wear a medium-sized vented butt plug that was purchased from huse.com. It's about 1.75 inches at the maximum width of the diameter and about 5 inches tall. Also as an occasional punishment, Mistress Taryn replaces my usual plug with a large, unvented silicone one (2.5" diameter by 5.5" tall) for an extended length of time.

5" length? All the time! 5" Width? No thanks! I'd be a hypocrite to judge anyone who does, but 5" is quite the stretch! (not to mention what might be a perforation waiting to happen for most folks) To each his or her own...

I would like to get a hold of one for the sole purpose giving someone an awesomely absurd gag gift =P

If you're talking 5" circumference, that would be about 2" diameter, which isn't insane, although it's big. 5" long is pretty long. You could use it for play, but I think it would ill-advised to wear such a toy in your daily life. Gay men put things much longer than that in their asses for play, but usually the big dildos are sort of floppy, which makes something like a perforation less likely.
