The Wolf comes from the fact the animals appeals to me in many ways (aren't I original!). The thing that cinched it though was the character of the Wolf in "Little Red Riding Hood". I'm not going to pretend I'm an authority on the subject but I've read that the tale can be interpreted as an allegory for the coming of age - the red cap of the girl being symbolic for menstrual blood the only argument I can recall. Also, many old Warner Bros. cartoons I watched as a child had anthropomorphised the wolf and created a relationship between him and a female character that usually had some sort of sexual tension to it - usually portrayed by the wolf's advances and (this being a WB cartoon) his comical failure. Despite the emasculated image of the wolf I grew up with the one that stuck was the one found in folklore and the natural world - the hunter; the competitive male; the leader.

Nairbrother:

A buddy and I at work were talking about our sexual lives. He said that he Nair's his groin to impress his lady friend. I was talking about it with him and decided to do it as well to please my girl. Word quickly spread throughout the plant that we were "Nairbrothers". I laughed and thought it was a good nickname, hence: Nairbrother.
